Welcome. Whether you’ve stumbled upon these pages by accident or have been waiting anxiously for my words (thanks), I cherish the fact that you’ve come. The Word says that where two or more are gathered in His name the Presence of the Lord resides. Without reading too much into that Scripture, I believe that you and I have gathered on these internet pages together and so the Lord is with us.
Why have I chosen to share my words with the world? Ever feel like there’s over saturation of words, opinions, and anger circulating on the unspoken and spoken waves of our world? Me too. And as I read, listen, and search, I keep coming back to one conclusion… we need Jesus. Of course, we need His Salvation but it has been made increasingly evident to me that we need His Truth.
The world keeps telling us that our ‘truth’ is enough. Listen to what your heart desires it tells us. Do what makes you feel good it whispers. Stand up for yourself even if it means stepping on others it assures us. And at the end of the day, although we may feel ‘good’ and experience worldly success, we will feel empty and suddenly like all of our actions were futile and worthless. When we pursue our own truths we will always always always come up wanting more. We are sinful people. Motivated by selfishness, anger, lust, and greed to gain for our own benefits. Those are our truths.
But, when Jesus was born, He changed our truths. Suddenly, He defines our motivations, our hopes, our dreams, and our day to day lives. If we pursue the Truths that He was sent by the Father to teach us, then our lives will blossom with purpose as we step into the lives we were truly meant to live.
